Guide / Compatibility

Your radio. And the station around it.

OpenShack supports many radios through Hamlib and our own extensions, then goes beyond CAT to the amplifiers, tuners, rotators and antenna systems used in a complete station.

Radios

OpenShack uses Hamlib to support a broad range of transceivers and adds OpenShack-specific extensions where the standard interface does not expose everything needed for a good operating screen. Dedicated waterfall integrations are available for Icom, Kenwood and FlexRadio.

Amplifiers and tuners

  • SPE Expert: 1K-FA, 1.3K-FA and 2K-FA
  • Elecraft: KPA500, KAT500 and KPA1500
  • RF-KIT: RF2K-S
  • Juma: PA600 and PA1000
  • OM Power: OM2000A+, OM1700A+, OM2501A, OM3501A, OM4001A and OM4001C

Antennas and rotators

OpenShack has direct integrations for the UltraBeam RCU-06 and SteppIR SDA 100 / SDA 2000. Up to four rotators can be connected through PSTROTATORAZ, covering practically any rotator model supported by that software.

Other network-controlled equipment

Generic URL commands can operate relays, antenna switches, smart plugs and similar network devices. This makes simple station functions available without requiring a dedicated driver for every switch.

Confirm before planning a station

The list develops as equipment and firmware change. For a critical integration, send us the radio and accessory list before purchase so we can confirm the required paths and any model-specific limitations.

Do not see your exact equipment?
