OpenShack Remote
The complete remote operating experience.
Your station. Wherever you are.
Audio, radio control, CW, Voice, Digital, logging and station tools come together in OpenShack Remote. Operate from your Windows laptop or through WebRemote in your browser. Keep your station private, share it with trusted operators, or publish it for receive-only access.

In use at our stations.
We have several remote stations running OpenShack with the Icom IC-7760, Elecraft K3, Kenwood TS-890S and Icom IC-7300.
OpenShack uses Hamlib for radio control across a broad range of modern transceivers. Available control functions depend on the model. Questions about your specific setup? Email support@openshack.com.
Connect from the device in front of you.
The station runs on a Windows host. Choose the client that fits the way you operate. Connections usually work without changing router settings. See how →
Windows
The full desktop workspace: audio, CAT, CW/PTT, logger interfaces, digital-mode connections and supported station devices.
Download for Windows →WebRemote
Connect in a supported desktop, smartphone or tablet browser. Reach your OpenShack host without installing the Windows client.
Open WebRemote →Android + iOS
Native apps for Android and Apple iOS are in development. WebRemote already gives you a browser path on mobile devices.
Mobile options explained →Your Box goes mobile. USB Box support already works in the Android app on compatible smartphones and tablets. Bring a real paddle and local hardware sidetone; the native app release is on the way.
Operate it. Share it. Publish a receiver.
Keep your station private, invite trusted operators, or publish it for RX-only clients. You decide whether access includes transmitting or is limited to receiving.
Your station, with you.
Use your station while travelling or give selected operators access to work it.
Let others listen and tune.
Publish the station for receive-only clients. They can hear the receiver and tune; the host blocks PTT and CW keying from these sessions.
The tools you use on the air.
The Windows client brings these tools together for a full station workspace. Choose Windows or WebRemote for the functions you need.
Hear and transmit
Receive and transmit audio with monitoring, quality choices and Box audio options.
Control the rig
CAT, rigctld and TS-2000 emulation keep loggers and station software connected.
Keep the timing
A host Box gives the radio a dedicated hardware CW/PTT path. Add an optional client Box for paddle input, immediate local sidetone and footswitch PTT.
Run digital modes
Virtual COM ports and virtual audio connect WSJT-X, MSHV and other tools.

Reach the station
Waterfall, cluster, rotator, amplifiers, tuners, antenna controls and URL switchers.
Share operation or reception
See who is using the station. Give trusted operators access, or publish a separate RX-only path for listeners.
The whole station—or just the missing CW link.
OpenShack Remote brings the complete station to your client PC. If you already have remote audio and radio control, CW Link adds the CW and PTT path.
OpenShack Remote
Audio, radio control, CW/PTT, logging, digital modes and station tools in one client.
See the complete station →CW Link
Keep your existing remote system. Add a paddle or logger, immediate local sidetone and physical PTT.
Find your CW Link →Box-to-Box
One Box beside you and one beside the radio. Configure them once; CW timing and PTT then run between the Boxes.
See Box-to-Box →The software is yours. Renew the connection service as needed.
I know—nobody loves another subscription. I don't either. But the data centers that keep Remote Host Connect available bill us every month. A one-time fee cannot honestly fund an always-running service forever. I will keep the renewal price as low as I responsibly can.
OpenShack Remote
The host PC and every client PC need a normal Remote license. These software licenses do not expire.
Remote Host Connect
The first year of Remote Host Connect is included with your Remote license. After that, renew for €49 for 12 months or €4.90 for one month, per host station. The renewal fee helps cover the cost of running multiple servers in first-class data centers. Renewing Remote Host Connect keeps the host reachable through the OpenShack connection and relay service. Clients do not need a separate RHC renewal.
Check the current renewal price →Travel light. Bring the whole station.
Operate your own station, invite trusted operators, or publish a receiver. Connect through Windows or WebRemote.
