OpenShack Box

CW keyer. Remote operator interface.

Use it as a standalone WinKey replacement and CW keyer, at the station for integrated hardware CW/PTT, or beside the remote operator for the ultimate paddle experience with immediate sidetone and footswitch PTT.

The Box before the software

Your standalone keyer — and WinKey replacement.

The OpenShack Box works directly with WinKey-compatible logging software while also providing its own paddle and straight-key inputs, memories, speed control and sidetone. None of that depends on buying a software suite.

Configuration and firmware updates run in a browser. OpenShack Remote and OpenShack CW then unlock broader jobs around the same physical Box.

One Box, several jobs

Keep the operator connected.

One Box can serve very different roles: an everyday WinKey replacement, a training input, the radio-side CW interface, or the hands-on companion beside a remote operator.

KEYER

Standalone WinKey replacement

WinKey-compatible logging, iambic keying, straight-key support, memories, speed control and sidetone.

TRAINING

Real sending

Let OpenShack CW hear what you actually key and analyze timing character by character.

REMOTE

The ultimate client experience

Keep paddle, immediate sidetone, footswitch and physical controls beside the remote operator.

AUDIO

Wireless audio

Audio can also be streamed wirelessly to the OpenShack Box via Bluetooth.

PTT

Footswitch ready

Bring physical PTT into OpenShack Remote instead of hunting for an on-screen button.

UPDATE

Browser setup

Configure and update the Box through WebConfig without a separate configuration application.

Box-to-Box

Two Boxes. One very long keying cable.

Put one Box beside the operator and one beside the radio. Configure them with CW Link; they then exchange CW timing and PTT on their own, with no PC in the keying path.

AT THE OPERATOR

Key here. Hear it here.

Your paddle or logger drives the local Box. Its own speaker gives immediate sidetone, and the footswitch remains under your desk.

AT THE RADIO

The second Box keys the rig.

The station-side Box recreates the timing and switches CW and PTT. Your existing remote system can continue to carry audio and CAT.

Flex Keyer connects the Box beside you to a remote FlexRadio
The Box stays beside you while SmartSDR carries keying and PTT to the radio.
Flex Keyer

One Box beside you. Your FlexRadio anywhere.

Connect the paddle and footswitch to the local Box and hear sidetone without the network delay. Flex Keyer sends precise CW edges and PTT to a reachable FlexRadio through the SmartSDR API.

It is the direct hardware path for FlexRadio operators who want real controls and local keying feel without adding a second Box at the station.

Three finishes

The same operating point, in your shack.

Choose black, red or white. The electronics and operating functions remain the same.
